The Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence was established at Ming Chuan University in the 2023-24 academic year. The department aims to cultivate elite professionals in information technology and forward-looking talents in the field of artificial intelligence. The faculty members of the department all possess Ph.D. degrees from top universities both domestically and internationally. 

The curriculum is designed to emphasize integration across domains, as well as theory and practical application. To meet the demands of the information technology and AI industries, the department offers specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things), Big Data Analytics, Smart Homes, Smart Healthcare, Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR)/Extended Reality (XR), and Metaverse applications.
